High heels cabbage compress

Cabbage.

Many consider it an all-star food as it is high in nutrients, such as vitamin C, vitamin K, vitamin E, calcium, sulfur, silica, magnesium, iodine, iron, and phosphorus.

But did you know that cabbage has been used for centuries to topically reduce pain and reduce swelling?

Cabbage leaves contain phytonutrients, anthocyanins, and glutamine, all of which have powerful anti-inflammatory compounds that are remarkably effective at relieving swelling, bruising, simple strains and joint pain.

A perfect remedy for sore, tired and over-worked feet!

Making a cabbage compress is quite easy.

Here's how.

:: Use any kind of cabbage such as savoy or green cabbage.

:: Peel away the outer cabbage leaves, wash thoroughly, then pat dry with paper towel.

:: Use a knife to cut out the hard stem and peel away the cabbage leaves.

:: Using a rolling pin or wine bottle, gently roll and bruise the leaves to release the natural juices. Make sure the leaves are floppy enough to easily mold to your feet.

:: Place the cabbage leaves directly over the feet and cover with gauze or saran wrap.

:: Elevate your feet and keep the cabbage compress on for up to an hour. You may also apply the leaves at bedtime and keep on overnight.

For a cold compress, refrigerate the cabbage before you begin the process above.

For a warm compress, microwave leaves for 15-30 seconds. You do not need to roll the warm leaves, as the heat will bring out the juices of the cabbage.

And remember, one of the best ways to prevent swollen, aching feet in high heels is to adhere Vivian Lou weight-shifting insoles to any shoe with a 2 inch heel or higher.

These amazing insoles adjust the pitch and position of the feet in heels so you can wear them 4x longer without pain or inflammation.

Here's to fab feet and high heels without the hurt!
